Strawberry Mousse Cups

士多啤梨慕士杯

This simple and easy to make strawberry mousse recipe packs a full flavour and rich experience. Refreshingly sweet, smooth and creamy. These mousse cups are a perfect solution to your fruity sweet craving. A must have as a summer treat!

Ingredients:
Strawberry 1 lb (454g)

  • ½ diced

  • ½ purée

1 cup (250 ml) Whipping Cream (35%)
5 tbsp (70 g) sugar
1 tbsp (17 g) gelatin
4 tbsp (57 g) water
1 tsp (5 g) vanilla extract

Method:

  1. Wash and drain strawberries. Dice half portion and cut the other half in halves. Purée sliced strawberries in a blender.

  2. Mix gelatin with water in bowl A, until dissolved into a thick mixture. Place bowl A into bowl B with hot water. Let sit until later use.

  3. Beat cream until it starts to froth. Add sugar in two separate intervals and beat until thickened. Add strawberry purée and beat well. Add in dissolved gelatin and beat until mixture is smooth.

  4. Add in diced strawberries and fold into the cream mixture.

  5. Pour into a container of choice. Large container, small cups, shaped mold, etc. Refrigerate until solidified, about 4 hours. Top with your favourite topping (fruits or whip cream) and it’s ready to serve. 

Note:

  • Decoration, strawberries, mint leaves, a dab of whipping cream. Whatever tickles your fancy.

  • Strawberries are usually on sale during the summer. Usual containers sold at supermarkets (Toronto) are about 1 lb (454g). Perfect size for this recipe.

  • Ensure gelatin is well mixed and melted before applying to prevent lumps of formed gelatine.


 
 

士多啤梨慕士杯

士多啤梨1磅 (454g)

  • 1半打茸

Whipping Cream / 奶油 (35%) 忌簾1杯 (250ML)
砂糖5湯匙 (70 g)
魚膠粉1湯匙 (17 g)
水4湯匙 (57 g)
香草精1茶匙 (5 g)

做法:

  1. 士多啤梨洗淨,1半切粒,1半打成茸。

  2. 魚膠粉加水攪勻,用熱水坐溶。

  3. 忌簾用機打至凝固,糖分2次加入,不用打至太實,然後加入士多啤梨茸打勻,再加已溶魚膠粉打至均勻。

  4. 最後加士多啤梨粒攪勻。

  5. 分放倒入杯內,雪約4小時即可食用。

註:

  • 最後用士多啤梨裝飾更美觀。

  • 草莓通常在夏季減價。多倫多超市出售的大約為 1 磅(454 克)。

  • 確保明膠在塗抹前充分混合和融化,以防止形成明膠塊。
