While speaking with Mrs. Yung (mom), on what are some vegetable that can last longer? Mrs. Yung mentioned, people used to hang Napa cabbages to keep them cool and dry to last longer. This was before fridge was common for the average household. For safety hazard, please do not hang your vegetables! There are more current and safe methods listed below.
Vegetables:
• Cabbage
• Napa Cabbage
• Cauliflower
• Broccoli
• Celery
• Garlic
• Onion
• White Radish
• Radish
• Beats
• Carrots
• Lotus Roots
• Potato
• Sweet Potato
• Taro/Yam
• Squash / Gourd
Fruits:
• Apples
• Oranges
• Grapefruit
• Mandarin Orange

• Berries (also frozen for later use)
Vegetables Storing Methods:
• Keep vegetables in a cool dry place.
• Wrap with paper towel to help absorb moisture.
• Wrap with news paper / brown paper is the best in absorbing moisture. (remember to wash your vegetables)
